Copyq vs clipclip3/20/2023 ![]() ![]() The problem with the mark in/out override as the place where the clip is pasted, is that a lot of us began on Avid 25 years ago, and through every NLE since we have used mark in to record where we are in the timeline, while then moving somewhere else to paste a clip 'at the play head' before then returning to that marked-in point, to continue editing there. You can also use In and Out points to paste only a partial segment of a much longer clip that you’ve cut or copied." Segment right back into the same place it started.Ĥ Move the playhead to the frame of the Timeline you want the pasted clip to start, and use the Paste or Paste Insert commands to paste the clip segment there. You can use the Auto Select controls to include or omit clip segments on specific tracks while you do this.Ģ Press Command-X to cut or Command-C to copy that clip segment.ģ Clear the In and Out points by pressing Option-X. "To cut or copy part of a clip to paste elsewhere:ġ Set In and Out points to isolate the part of the clip you want to cut or copy. ![]() See page 427 of the manual (Chapter 22: Modifying Clips in the Timeline): If you set in-and-out points on your timeline, they override the playhead as a destination for pasting a clip. I must always delete the in - out point (alt-x), Paste the content, and then set again the In-Out point, which is ridiculous. I don't know about the rest of you guys but the Clips feature in Maschine was a HUGE game changer for me.Studio1492 wrote:This is also happening to me, which is a nightmare.Ĭopied content goes pasted at the IN point instead of the Playhead. Maybe this can help some other Maschine users who have wanted to be able to copy and paste multiple scene's in the Maschine software. This is kind of a "Janky" way to copy and paste scene's and move more than one section around at the same time but I still think it can speeds things up on all those dope 4 and 8 bar loops you have made in Maschine but don't feel like taking the time to turn them in to actual songs. Now you can put it all on loop and figure out a outro and where the change ups, drops, solos and Bridge ect. Intro, Intro Chorus, first verse, Chorus, second verse, Chorus ect. you have the main structure of your song laid out with the. ![]() Now all you need to do is highlight all the clips in the verse and the second chorus and hit duplicate and BOOM!. That's why I used Group A1 for the Scene names. you'll notice that when I change all the patterns to clips the real Scene names get deleted. I turned all the patterns in the verse and second chorus in to clips. Since I only want to copy and paste the verse and second chorus parts and not the intro or the intro chorus. Here's what I did using Clips to try and Copy and Paste multiple Scene's at the same time in Maschine like you would do in a DAW.įirst I used a empty group up top(Group A1) to use as a fake Scene header since the real Scene header won't allow you to copy and paste multiple scenes at the same time. Here's a gif on me trying to copy and paste the verse and chorus Scene's in the Maschine software. Here's the gif from the 2015 thread demonstrating what I had wished the Maschine software could do to speed up the song making process.Ĭopy and Pasting multiple Scenes at the same time in the Studio One DAW. the Maschine software now allows you to select multiple Clips at the same time so this allows you to select, copy and paste multiple sections or Clips of your song. I made a thread back in 2015 about how much faster we could make songs in Maschine if we could copy and paste multiple Scenes and the same time. I don't know if this has already been talked about on this forum and I haven't seen a Youtube video talking about using Clips in this way. ![]()
